An Exciting new collaboration between the Cotswold Sculptors Association and the Newark Park National Trust site. Four other member artists of the Cotswold and myself have been chosen to create a work that speaks of the Newark Park house and gardens and their rich histories.
Inspired the long undulating brick wall that forms the upper boundary to the park’s pleasure garden, my work entitled ‘Terracotta Tales’ tells the stories of the gardens of Newark Park and the key people whose hard work and visions created the gardens that you can see and enjoy today. I have created a lot of these terracotta tiles from a variety of local clays sourced from the ground, including clays sourced from the Newark Park estate.
