Ian Knight is a research-driven artist. Ian’s works and research are currently centred around sustainable practices in ceramics and seeking out new creative opportunities using readily available materials from nature. Source location and provenance of available materials often drive storytelling within Ian’s practice.
Ian draws his inspiration from forms, colours and textures found in nature, and has a particular interest in botanical and geological forms, something that reaches back to his B.Sc degree education in Geographical Sciences during the 1980’s.
