This is my body of work for the Bath Spa University 2025 Fine Art MA Show, and is centred around the shard as a symbol of an event in history to be investigated and for memories to be recalled and stories told.
The site of a former horticultural nursery on the southern fringes of Bath has been the target of my research which has included the extensive study of the site, found artefacts, archival material and an interview with former nursery employee, local Bath resident Jimmy Fishlock. From my recorded interview with Jimmy, archival photographs and new photographs taken on-site, an eight-minute video was created and shown at this exhibition.
